New light is being shed on why Kim Zolciak missed her last court hearing to dismiss Kroy Biermann’s second divorce filing.
The The Real Housewives of Atlanta The alum, 45, did not appear at her court hearing via Zoom on Wednesday, according to Party tonight.
However, a source confirms to PEOPLE, “She was shooting in Colombia and couldn’t make it on time because of the production schedule. She has to make money because things are very tight on money right now.”
Zolciak is currently filming the renewal of the second season of the MTV reality show, Surreal lifein Colombia.

Kim Zolciak is ‘making moves’ — seemingly returning to reality TV — amid Kroy Biermann’s divorce
Although Zolciak was not present, Biermann’s attorney, Marlys Bergstrom, did ask the court if his client could sell the house they shared in Georgia. ET. Biermann, 38, verbally confirmed to the judge that the Alpharetta property will be foreclosed on Nov. 7.
Last month, the former NFL pro went to court alone and asked for the exclusive option to sell the $3 million home. Court documents obtained by PEOPLE say the sale could help wipe out the couple’s “substantial debt.” At that time, Biermann also filed for divorce from Zolciak for the second time.
However, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE on Monday, Zolciak filed to dismiss Biermann’s divorce filing, citing their recent sexual relations as proof that his original claims that their marriage was “irretrievably broken” were false.
Zolciak said in the documents that she and Biermann have “engaged in marital sexual relations multiple times since filing for divorce” and “most recently” had sex on Sept. 7.
In order to proceed with the divorce, both Biermann and Zolciak must “reaffirm once again that the marriage is indeed irretrievably dissolved” by filing another petition, the request states.

This was the second time the couple announced their separation. In May, the former Don’t be late stars announced they were separating but later reconciled in July, with a source telling PEOPLE at the time that they were “trying to make it work for the kids.”
The couple has four children: Kroy Jr., 12, Kash, 11, and twins Kai and Kane, 9. Biermann is also the adoptive parent of Zolciak’s other two daughters, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21.

Since Biermann’s second filing on Aug. 24, Zolciak has been hoping to save the marriage.
In a post on her Instagram Story earlier this month, she shared that she still lives with Biermann in their shared home. “I live here and I’m not going anywhere!” she said. “We are working on our marriage and living together as husband and wife. There are too many daily lies.”
