Michelle Williams has a good reason why she wasn’t in Kamala Harris’ campaign with her former Destiny’s Child members.
During the Tuesday, October 29 episode SherriThe 45-year-old actress/singer revealed why she didn’t show up at the Democratic presidential candidate’s rally (60).
Since Williams is currently in the middle of a starring role Death becomes her on Broadway, was unable to attend Harris’ campaign event in Houston last Friday, October 25.
“I was so happy, but at the same time, it was the first time that I wasn’t able to attend in person something that, you know, I wanted to be in. And that’s the sacrifice that we make [with] Broadway. I couldn’t be there, but they represented me and held me down in their own way,” she said of her former bandmates Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland.

When host Sherri Shepherd said that people can’t imagine the other members of Destiny’s Child without her, Williams said she understands, but their physical proximity is often a challenge.
“They live in LA, I’m in Atlanta and they’ll see them… the paparazzi will catch them at dinner. We’re not together all the time,” Children of paradise the star said laughing.
But Williams added a caveat that the trio “are more together than people think.”
“But there are times when I’m not able to be [there]. #Ivegotthingsthat preventmefrombeingplacesyallthinkIshouldbeat,” she concluded.

On October 25, Beyoncé, 43, attended Harris’ rally in her hometown along with her mother Tina Knowles, Rowland, 43, and country music legend Willie Nelson, with whom she collaborated for Cowboy Carter.
After Nelson, 91, took the stage, the “Halo” singer gave an energetic speech to introduce Harris, the Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
“We are so happy to stand here on this stage as proud women from the state of Texas, supporting and celebrating the one and only Vice President Kamala Harris,” Beyoncé told the crowd.
She called Harris, “a woman who stood for what this country really needs right now – unity. It’s impossible not to feel the energy in this room, the positivity, the community, the humanity. We’re on the edge of an incredible shift .the edge of history.”
