Markus Allen, born March 26, 1960, is a former American football running back who played 16 seasons in the National Football League, primarily for the Los Angeles Raiders. He is considered one of the best short-yardage and goal-line rushers in NFL history. Additionally, he was selected 10th overall by the Raiders in the 1982 NFL Draft after a successful college football career at USC. He was a member of the Raiders for 11 seasons and spent the last five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Allen played football at Abraham Lincoln High School in San Diego, California, where he played linebacker and safety.
