The wife stabbed her husband to death and buried him in the garden after noting the abuse against him, he listened to the court.
Maureen Rickards, 50, was allegedly a knife husband Jeremy, 65, in her chest and through her heart at home in Canterbury, Kent.
She then filled Jeremy, who carried only underwear, in the closet in their bedroom, it was said.
Canterbury Crown Court heard Rickards, then wrapped his husband in the cants bags and transferred him to the garden where she buried him under the grass cuttings.
Jeremy’s family and friends reported after June 7th was last seen alive.
It was said to Jurori that Rickards had sent Whatsapp messages to his daughter Chimi, pretending to be her father and claimed to be in Saudi Arabia.
Later, she reportedly said to Chimi that Jeremy took his own life on June 9th.
His body was discovered on July 11 after the police were investigating his disappearance noticed a “sick scent” in the garden.
The court told his driving to his death, Jeremy was a taxi driver and staff at his local pub saw in a “tormented” state.
Prosecutor Nick Corsellis KC said Rickards had subjected his husband’s family abuse in the last days, which became “stronger”.
After his arrest, the police found voice recordings on her phone recorded as she hit her “weak and vulnerable” husband while he was confused on the floor, it was said.
The court was told that in one recording of Rickards, he could hear “expressing her intention to inflict and kill her.”
June 6, the neighbor saw Jeremy “deeply” injured by cutting on his forehead and bruises to the eyes and ears.
When asked what happened, he allegedly answered: “Maureen was in a bad mood with me and with everyone.”
The geologist was reported disappeared the next day after seeing him back home from work.
The police visited the home but found no trace [his] existence ” – with the Rickards who claimed that the couple were separated.
The jurors heard that she also told them that she had not talked to Jeremy’s “weeks”, but that she was arrested for fraud after using his bank ticket.
Rickards allegedly bought alcohol, cigarettes, Doritos, toilet paper, Febreze Air Shendaner and Vanish shampoo carpet with his money.
When she was arrested again after Jeremy’s body was found, she asked the officers, “Murder? Did you say the murder? You found the body?”
Police later found Jeremy’s DNA on the blood points on the carpet, he listened to the court.
Rickards DNA was also discovered on a bucket bag where his body was wrapped.
Post Mortem revealed that Jeremy suffered five stab wounds – two 11 cm deep – as well as more broken ribs, a bone fracture in the neck and a broken nose.
There was also a stab wound of “sharp forces” in which metal fragments were present.
Mr. Corsellis said: “The crown suggests that the number and scope [of injuries] They found that he excluded any real proposal that Jeremy Rickards had suffered a tragic accident or that these wounds were only applied.
“There is [also] The evidence of previous injuries in accordance with Mr. Rickards was the victim of an illegal attack in the past.
“The case of the Crown is that Mr. Rickards was the subject of serious family abuse in the hands of the defendant in running this murder.”
Rickards denies the murder between June 7 and July 11 last year.
