Anthony Wilford Brimley was an American actor and singer born on September 27, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to mother Lola Samantha Nelson and real estate broker father Wilford Charles Brimley. He was the second of five children of his parents. Moreover, he had three younger siblings, Sterling Nelson, Mary Lucile and Alyce Carol, as well as an older sister, Donna Janeen. He also had three half-siblings from his father’s first marriage: Donald E., Dorothy and Ruth.

The actor never attended professional acting courses, and his first job in the television industry was shoeing horses. Unfortunately, Anthony was diagnosed with diabetes, and in order to raise awareness among others, he educated a large number of people about the disease, and for his efforts, he was recognized by the American Diabetes Association. Brimley should audition for roles as extras or stuntmen in western movies, according to Robert. Brimley appeared in several television movies between 1980 and 1986, including ‘The Wild Wild West Revisited,’ ‘Amber Waves,’ ‘Rodeo Girl,’ ‘Roughnecks,’ and ‘Murder in Space.’ He also appeared in ‘The Big Black Pill,’ ‘Ewoks: The Battle for Endor,’ ‘Thompson’s Last Run,’ and ‘Act of Vengeance.’

During the 1990s, he appeared in 14 films. The most notable of these is his portrayal of a creepy insurance boss in the 1993 film ‘The Firm’. Brimley left Hollywood in 1997 to appear in independent films such as ‘Lunker Lake,’ ‘Chapter Perfect,’ ‘Progeny,’ ‘A Place to Grow’ and many others.
