Willam Belli, one of America’s most popular drag queens, has always been open about his sexual preferences and relationship status. Openly gay Belli married Bruce Bealke in September 2008, but the drag queen revealed they were no longer together in one of his YouTube videos in 2019.
Belli confirmed the divorce from her husband
In September 2019, the famous drag queen released a video titled “ASS-umptions w/ WILLAM” on her official YouTube channel. The video was created in response to his fans’ assumptions about his private and professional life.
One assumption was, “That you are happily married,” to which Belli immediately replied that he had divorced his husband Bealke and was currently single. “I’m not anymore; I myself am also divorced.” However, he provided little clarification on the situation and quickly moved on to the next assumption. As a result, it is unclear whether the couple is simply separated or divorced.
The fans were shocked and heartbroken by the news. “Wait, what?” asked one of them. Did he divorce his husband? Oh my god… What happened? It’s so heartbreaking.” “I didn’t know he didn’t remarry,” said one.

Belli was married for a decade
Although the couple divorced at the end of 2019, they were married for a little over ten years. After more than six years of dating, Belli and Bealke exchanged wedding vows on September 9, 2008. Bealke is an entertainment developer and attorney. He has always been known for his open and extroverted personality, and few details about his life have remained secret.
Similarly, the drag queen has often been seen flaunting her ex-partner on social media in the past. He’s never been shy about showing his ex-wife his love, whether it’s teasing her or sharing a picture with their dog. In one instance, Belli took to Instagram to poke fun at her husband’s lack of punctuality for dinner. “When your husband is 35 minutes late for dinner, so you hang out with the dog while he eats,” he wrote.

Their relationship gained media attention after the Sex and the City actor was disqualified from the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2009. It was the first time a contestant was disqualified for violating the rules in the history of the competition.
During the show, Bealke would allegedly visit his wife in the hotel room where he was staying. This seriously violated the rules of the competition and was cited as the reason for Belli’s disqualification. But the truth, according to him, was completely different.
In June 2018, the fiery drag queen revealed her disqualification on Twitter: a sexual relationship with a producer. He said the producers pressured him to have his husband come on the show to confirm his lie.
Cameras caught a random man in the audience who was introduced as Bella’s gay lover.
