Career
In 2000, he released his debut album with bandmate Llandel Malave. El Sobreviviente, his debut solo album, was released in 2004. Wisin released his second solo studio album, El Regreso del Sobreviviente, ten years later in 2014. Wisin is currently on tour with Prince Royce as part of their Power and Love project. Wisin and Yandel first met at school. At the end of the nineties, they got closer and started performing in a duet.
Finally, in 2000, they released their first album, Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio. They then tried to break into a major label with the album Mi Vida… My Life, their debut for the Universal Machete Music subsidiary in 2003. Then in 2005 they released Pa’l Mundo, which became a mainstream hit. Wisin and Yandel then started their own label, WY Records, and introduced an affiliate group, Los Vaqueros. The couple took a year off in November 2013, following their Lderes tour, although despite speculation that their split was due to differences, Yandel disputed such claims and clarified that they had not divorced.
