Her 19-year-old victim, who described their relationship as “friends with benefits”, stormed out of her home in Whitstable, Kent, after the row.

When he went back to get some things, Lucas scratched his neck with her long acrylic nails.

The robber then stabbed her lover in the back with a pair of scissors – leaving a 6cm wound.

Lucas was discovered by police hiding in the basement stairwell while the teenager was airlifted to hospital.

She told officers she had “passed out” from drinking and claimed that if she had stabbed him, it would have been in self-defense.

Lucas has now been jailed for a year after she was convicted of wounding.

The court was told the attack happened on August 22 after the pair had been in Herne Bay and Margate.

Lucas was heard being “loud and abusive” in a shared hallway before she started screaming.

The victim said that when Lucas went to investigate, he grabbed him by the neck and pulled his hair.

He told the court he struck out once in self-defence, describing the force as “just enough to get her off me”.

When he went to grab some clothes, Lucas “charged” at him with scissors and stabbed him in the back.

The teenager said: “I didn’t know [I’d been stabbed] – I thought I was hit – until I went to another room.

“I honestly thought I got hit. It wasn’t even that hard, that’s what’s crazy. I just went with my stuff and kept going.”

He said he only realized he had been stabbed when one of his friends started screaming.

During an interview with police, Lucas said: “I love that boy. I don’t know what the hell happened and I wish I did.

“I just wish it had never happened. The worst part is I don’t remember it. That’s what’s so frustrating.”

Lucas denied wounding with intent, as well as the alternative, less serious offense of unlawful wounding.
