Armed officers were sent to Cornwall Close, a quiet cul-de-sac, at around 1pm on Monday following reports of a dog attack.
Before officers arrived, the dogs were locked in a room in the home, weather police said.
The police confiscated two dogs, which were registered according to the new government plan.
Neighbors have now told of their horror after the bullying.
From February 1, it is a criminal offense to own an XL bully in England and Wales without a certificate.
The breed is said to be “disproportionately involved” in serious and fatal dog attacks.
The breed has killed several Britons, including Ian Price, 52, who died in hospital after being attacked by two suspected American XL thugs, and 10-year-old Jack Lee who was savagely mauled to death in 2021.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called to Cornwall Close at around 1.12pm on Monday 20 May to reports of a woman being attacked by a dog.
“Due to the threat, armed officers attended. After assessing the situation, the officers were able to safely seize the two dogs.
“They were registered bully dogs XL and before the arrival of the police they were locked in a room in the house.
