Mullin got away from the defender, but the ball got stuck under his feet and he ended up behind him.

He thought quickly, spun and hit the ball back and somehow managed to figure out the goalie.

Video of a fan’s goal went viral, leaving everyone baffled as to how he managed to get the ball to bounce for what would have been his hat-trick in the game.

However, there is a simple explanation for what really happened.

Another camera angle shows Mullin trying to parry the last defender’s charge, which was hard to see in the original video.

The shot ended in an own goal by Corey Jordan and the Wrexham principal had to settle for a brace.

Fans joked when they realized they were fooled by the first video. He said: “We were wrong.”

Phil Parkinson’s side won a thrilling 4-3 victory thanks to Sam Dalby’s winner in the 96th minute.
