His family has now posted an update on his health on Facebook.
It read: “We have decided to let people know that Bart is in hospice. He is no longer taking chemotherapy and his cancer was stage 4 when he was diagnosed in 2022.”
His wife Linda added: “He’s been praying and he’s ready to go. He’s ready to meet his maker, so it’s a win-win situation.
“When it’s time for him to go to heaven, he knows where he’s going.”
It was also revealed that Harris stopped chemotherapy after his health insurance ran out.
A statement from the family in December read: “Bart was brought home today, still unable to walk but not progressing in rehab so insurance will not continue to pay for him.
“He told me that he doesn’t want chemotherapy anymore, he thinks it does more harm than good and I have to support him in that.
“He doesn’t feel like he’s given up, he’s just not putting more poison in his body.
“Now it’s completely in God’s hands. God’s will be done.”

Harris, 76, began his wrestling career in the mid-1970s and later joined WWE in 1990 after a career on the independent circuit.
Harris retired in 2002 but continued to wrestle on one-off occasions before becoming a trainer – training the likes of John Bradshaw Layfield.
