In October 2016, he moved to another esports organization called Denial eSports, continuing to play as the “main tank”. After Denial eSports disbanded, xQc and his other teammates began competing under the name “YIKES!”. Later, the team name was renamed “Arc 6” after Blizzard Entertainment stated that “YIKES!” was not marketable. Later, “Arc 6” participated in the Overwatch Contenders Season Zero, but was eventually eliminated in the group stage. On July 9, 2017, “Arc 6” won third place in their last tournament, Beat Invitational: Season 2. In October 2017, Lengyel joined the Overwatch League franchise “Dallas Fuel” as the ninth player on its roster. At the 2018 Overwatch World Cup, Lengyel played as the “main tank” for Team Canada and won the Most Valuable Player title. In 2019, he joined the Overwatch Contenders’ Los Angeles Gladiators academy team, Gladiators, as a substitute main tank.

dispute

  • On November 17, 2017, Lengyel’s account was suspended in the middle of a competitive Overwatch game for violating Blizzard’s Terms of Use. His account was suspended for 72 hours for “abusing the reporting system.” Apparently, Lengyel’s reasons for reporting other players were invalid.
  • In December 2017, he was banned by Blizzard for seven days for intentionally losing a game in Overwatch’s competitive mode. xQc subsequently uploaded a YouTube video titled “Banned: I’m Sorry” to his channel, publicly apologizing for his behavior.
  • xQc was banned for 15 days on August 11, 2018, for violating the abusive chat policy. He was reported by his teammates multiple times. Later, that same year, xQc was permanently banned from League of Legends for being extremely inflammatory and offensive.
  • In 2017, Lengyel was suspended from the Overwatch League for several games and fined $2,000. Apparently, Lengyel violated the Overwatch League Code of Conduct by making some homophobic comments to opponent Austin “Muma” Wilmot. He later apologized for the comments, writing:

  • On July 31, 2019, xQc was banned for 72 hours for streaming pornographic content on Twitch. While the video was not exactly pornographic, it was a popular YouTube video called “Safe For Work Porn.” The video featured a pornographic scene that was projected in a way that made it seem innocent. xQc claimed that it was just an act of humor.
  • In February 2020, xQc was banned from Twitch for three days for showing nudity while playing the game Connect Four. According to reports, during a Twitch live stream, an AI appeared on the screen in the image of a naked woman.
