Mariah Carey and her heels give us the feels.
The megastar, 55, shared photos from her trip to the Great Wall of China with her 13-year-old twins Monroe and Morokan, who she shares with ex Nick Cannon, over the weekend, and fans couldn’t get over gearing her up.
The Grammy winner – who is due to perform in Beijing – wore a black crochet dress and towering platform mules for her journey to the iconic monument.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Carey can be seen holding on to two people for support as she slowly walks up a flight of stairs in her heels.
She then poked fun at herself on the app, writing: “Someone should have warned me about heels.” But in Mariah Carey style, she added, “Not that I would listen to her.”

The internet had a lot to say about Carey’s glamorous (made for the stage) look, especially her choice of footwear, but the reaction from her fans was nothing but praise and positivity.
“Queen of climbing the Great Wall of China in heels,” commented one below Carey’s Instagram post with the same family photos she shared with X. “Mariah climbing the Great Wall of China in a dress and high heels will forever be etched in my memory,” added another.

Even if Carey wanted to wear sneakers on the trek, she wouldn’t be able to find a pair in her closet.
When she appeared on Show Jennifer Hudson Last November, the pop star revealed she doesn’t have a single pair of kicks because she’s blistered (her alternative footwear, you wonder? “I’m wearing slippers!” she told the host). She then explained that wearing heels is just natural to her because she walks on her toes “no matter what.”
