Zamrud has loved dancing since he was a child and started participating in dance reality shows at a very young age. In 2012, he got an opportunity to participate in the Malayalam reality show “Super Dancer Junior 5” aired on Amrita TV.
He was a participant in Kalolsavam School, Kerala (2015). Kerala School Kalolsavam, regulated by the Department of General Studies, Government of Kerala, is a student festival organized in the state of Kerala to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents at the school level, divisional level, district level and state level.
He made his film debut in 2016 with a brief appearance in the Indian Malayalam road comedy film Oru Muthassi Gadha.
In October 2017, he started working as an assistant coach at Jobz & Sabz Dance Academy. In 2017, he joined a dance troupe that performed at Emirates Global Village, a shopping, dining and entertainment hub in Dubai.
He appeared as a contestant in the Malayalam dance reality TV show Dance of Kerala (2019); the show aired on Zee Keralam. Zamrud and his mentor Malavika Menon chose gray as their theme color during the Colors round of the quarter-finals of Dance of Kerala (2019). According to the theme color, they performed on the theme of the dangers of passive smoking. The contemporary performance presented a strong social message and was highly appreciated by the judges and audience. The performance also earned them the title of best performance of the day and a “golden ticket”, a direct berth into the finals. His appearance in Dance of Kerala (2019) was a breakthrough for him and earned him a loyal fan base. Get cash reward of Rs. Zamroodh emerged as the runner-up of the show with a prize of Rs 7 lakh.
On October 16, 2021, Zamrud appeared as a contestant on Sony TV’s dance reality show “India’s Best Dancer: Season 2” along with choreographer Sonali Kar.
