1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Feels ‘Hurt’ After a Comment About Her Excess Skin Makes Her ‘Insecure’: ‘It Bothers Me’

Tammy Slaton can’t stand the hate she gets on social media because of her looks.

On Monday, 1000 lbs. Sisters star, 37, posted a video on TikTok in which she responded to one follower who wrote: “Just a question not trying to be rude but do you know if your beard will go away?”

“My ‘chin’ is not a chin. It’s literally excess skin and yes, it will be gone when I have skin removal surgery,” she replied. ‘And I can’t answer, before anyone asks me, when I’m going to get the skin removed because I don’t know.’

“My problem is that you say you’re not trying to be rude, and yet you’re being rude by asking and pointing it out,” Slaton continued. “Can’t I live my life without you judging me, making fun of me for every little fucking thing? I can’t do a duet with a friend without everyone thinking I’m trying to screw them. I can’t be happy and smile without everyone judging me because I’m missing teeth.”

Slaton added that she “felt hurt” by the comments and that it was “irritating” to receive them so often. She admitted that she has been criticized every day for her excess skin since losing weight, even receiving messages comparing her to a turkey.

“You don’t understand what people go through,” Slaton said. “I am very insecure. I hide it because I don’t want people to think I’m weak, and I really am. And it bothers me when you call me a turkey or talk about my face and teeth. I’m a man.”

“I wish people would just understand that even the smallest amount of hate can drive someone over the edge and want to kill themselves.” I’m not like that…I used to be. I was very suicidal before I went to rehab and lost weight,” she continued. “I just want people to understand that hate is wrong.”

Last month, Slaton hit back at another critic who told her to “get her teeth fixed”, pointing out that she had received numerous messages about her appearance.

“With all due respect, I wish people like you would stop commenting on crap like this,” she said at the time. “It doesn’t help my confidence. I was trying to build up my confidence and comments about my beard or teeth didn’t help.”

“I’m trying to improve my life and myself. We should lift people up. It doesn’t matter if I’m missing teeth,” she continued. “It’s sad. Why the hate? Why can’t you just appreciate the hard work I’ve put in? Why can’t you just appreciate that I’m still alive. Yes, I have flaws. I’m human… But I won’t let you or anyone the second spoils the day.”
