1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Reveals She Lost 500 Lbs. in 'Proud' Video with Fellow 'Weight Loss Warriors'

Tammy Slaton has reached a new milestone in her weight loss journey.

It’s August 17th 1000 lbs. Sisters star, 38, reposted a video by content creator Katlyn Foster, which shows a group of seven friends and how much each of them has lost. Each woman showed off her physical transformation as the video was paired with Andre Day’s hit song “Rise Up”.

In the clip, Slaton enters the frame revealing that she has lost 500 pounds. The women then hold hands and raise them in the air as the clip reads: “We lost a total of 2,078 pounds! Weight Loss Warriors.”

After Slaton reposted the video, she added a sweet message about reaching the milestone with her friends.

“Truly absolutely amazing ladies and I am happy to call you all my friends,” she wrote. “I am so proud of each and every one of you. You are not only beautiful on the inside, but you are also beautiful on the outside. Never forget.”

In a similar video, a group of women danced to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” while celebrating their weight loss journeys. “When people said you wouldn’t make it, but you and your crew lose 2,654 lbs,” the video read. Slaton also reposted this snap, adding in the caption, “My girls my new best friends.”

Slaton has been pretty quiet on social media lately, but she’s continued with her weight loss goal. Back in December 2023, the reality star talked to PEOPLE about losing 440 lbs., which is down from her peak weight of 725 lbs. before bariatric surgery in July 2022. She boasted about the accomplishments she’s made since making the life-changing transformation.

“One of the big changes I went through this year is probably small for most people,” she said at the time. “But for me it was huge.”

“Just to be able to walk without a walker or to be pushed by a wheelchair, and there is no oxygen. I don’t even sleep with him at night anymore,” she continued. “Back then it was the ability to fit into a regular vehicle, the front seat and then the belt buckle, now you don’t need to use an extender. So what seems insignificant to some people is huge to me.”

In February, Slaton also shared that her overall quality of life has changed since her dramatic weight loss. “Before I went to rehab, I was bitter, unhappy, very suicidal, depressed and just mean,” she said in a candid TikTok video.

“Personally, I have seen a huge improvement in how I treat people and my family. Just my attitude and how much happier I seem. I smile a lot more,” she added. “Now I appreciate life where I used to hate it. I hated everything about life. And now, I just get on with it.”
