Sean Garinger, best known for appearing on 16 and pregnant together with his ex Selena Gutierrez, he died after a terrible accident on an all-terrain vehicle. He was 20 years old.
The reality star, who had two children with Gutierrez, was moving an ATV from one parking spot to another outside her home in Boone, North Carolina, on Feb. 28 when tragedy struck, said his mother, Mary Hobbs. The Sun of the USA.
“He was just moving [the ATV] from one parking spot to another for me, so I could get back into the park,” Hobbs told the paper. “He pulled [in] in front of me to park the ATV and the ground loosened from the rain and mud.”
The ATV then rolled over and “crushed” his skull, Hobbs said.
“I ran to the neighbor trying to get someone to help me get the ATV off him. No one answered. I ran back to him,” she recalled. – By then I already understood that he was no longer alive.

Hobbs told the newspaper that she was “lying next to him” until emergency services arrived on the scene.
“A big part of my heart died with my son on Wednesday,” she continued. “He was my only child, my rock, my strength when I no longer had it.”
PEOPLE has reached out to the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) for comment, although WCSO Maj. Kelly Redmon confirmed Watauga Democrat that they responded to the scene along with officials from the Boone Fire Department and Watauga medics. Redmon also identified Garinger as the victim in the ATV crash.
“Our hearts are heavy with grief for the loss experienced by the family and loved ones of the victims,” the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. Watauga Democrat.
According to his obituary, Garinger, affectionately known as “Squishy,” was a “military brat who touched lives across the country,” and his “kind and generous nature” was loved by all who knew him.
“Sean had a passion for living life to the fullest,” the obituary said. “He enjoyed driving RC cars, sky diving, diving with sharks, motorcycles, flying a drone, riding ATVs, surfing and spending time in the ocean. His adventurous spirit and love of excitement were evident in all aspects of his life. ”

Relationships Are Tested in ’16 and Pregnant’ Season 6 Trailer: ‘You Are Babies Having a Baby’
Fans first met Garinger when he appeared alongside Gutierrez in Season 6 16 and pregnant. The reality series followed the story of five newly pregnant teenage girls in the span of five weeks as they both became first-time mothers.
In one episode of the MTV show, Gutierrez’s mother sat the former couple down and offered some firm words to prepare them for parenthood.
“You all have to grow up in the next few days, you’re babies having a baby,” she said at the time. – This baby came with a package, and that package is called responsibility.

Garinger is survived by daughters Darela and Esma, whom he shares with Gutierrez, as well as his mother and his sisters, Shania, Lydia, Isabella, Ember, Kayden and Casslyn, according to his obituary.
A service to honor his life was held Saturday in the MTV personality’s hometown of Boone.
