The nominations for the Golden Globes are almost here.
Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut help announce the film and television nominees for the 82nd Golden Globe Awards on Monday, December 9.
Comedian Nikki Glaser hosts the awards ceremony, which will air live Sunday, January 5, at 8:00 PM ET on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
“The Golden Globes aren’t just a big night for TV and film, they’re also a big night for comedy,” Glaser, 40, said in a previous statement about hosting. “It’s one of the rare times when show business not only allows but encourages being lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). (Gosh I hope so).”
She added: “It’s an exciting but challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars (who might also be wearing themselves out sitting next to their recent exes).”
As previously announced, Viola Davis will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award.
