Three people were shot and killed Saturday morning in two neighborhoods in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, by a suspect who later barricaded himself in a New Jersey home with hostages, according to local authorities.
Falls Township police said in a statement that the suspect — identified as 26-year-old Andre Gordon — fatally shot two people at a Viewpoint Lane home before fleeing the scene in a stolen car. Shortly after, the suspect shot and killed another victim at a home on Edgewood Lane.
The two victims were identified as Gordon’s sister, Kera Gordon, 13, and his stepmother, Karen Gordon, 52, according to a news release from the Bucks County District Attorney’s office. At the first house, three people, including a minor, hid during the incident and survived.
The third victim in the second home is Taylor Daniel, 25, who shares two children with the suspect. The statement adds that there were four other people there, and the suspect allegedly hit Daniel’s mother with a machine gun.
Police have identified the suspect as Andre Gordon, 26.

After the morning shooting, police said the suspect carjacked another vehicle — a dark gray 2016 Honda CRV — from an unknown person at a Dollar General in Morrisville, Pa., at approximately 9:13 a.m. Police located the empty car at 11:38 a.m. in New Jersey.
“We received the information [at 12:22 p.m.] that Gordon is currently barricaded, with hostages, at a residence in Trenton, New Jersey,” police said in the latest release.
The Trenton City Police Department then sent its SWAT team to surround the residence in the 100 block of Phillips Street.
A shelter-in-place order that had been issued earlier in the day in Falls Township was lifted at 12:25 p.m. following new developments.
“Andre Gordon is approximately 6’1” and of thin build and was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie, police described the suspect. “He is believed to be in possession of an automatic rifle with which he committed these crimes. It is believed that Gordon may be in possession of additional weapons. Gordon is extremely dangerous.”
At 16:00 on Saturday, Gordon was still barricaded with hostages.Want to keep up with the latest crime reports? Sign up for PEOPLE the free True Crime newsletter for the latest crime news, tracking ongoing trials and details on intriguing unsolved cases.
