Last year, Love Island viewers were treated to a spin-off series, Love Island Games, which brought together former contestants from various international versions of the show.

In the end it was won by British dude Jack Fowler and American stunner Justine Joy Ndiba.

The couple appeared to be going strong after the show ended, but earlier on Saturday Jack confirmed they were no longer dating.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the 28-year-old wrote alongside a black background: “Much love to everyone who supported me and Justine in the Love Island Games.

“We’ve been winning together actually mentally. Feels like a long time ago lol but I just wanted to say we’re friends.”

He concluded: “It’s all love and vibes between us” alongside two red love heart emoticons.

While Jack was also sharing snaps of his gym routine and DJing on his Instagram, across the pond, Justine was at a Bad Bunny concert in Los Angeles.

By winning the show, the couple received $100,000, which they decided to split.

In interviews after the win, the couple talked about how they would juggle the nature of a long-distance relationship they might have.

Justine said: “I feel like we live so far away from each other, so we’re doing our 100 per cent best at the moment.”

Jack added: “It’s difficult because obviously I have a job in London. My family is there and everything. And obviously, Justine is here.

“So there’s a big difference between us. But we talk every day when we’re apart, like on Facetime.

“But I have to talk to Justine about it and I know some parts of the show have been quite difficult for both of us, so I think we’ve done our best to be there for each other more than anything.

“But no, we’re doing our best. We’re literally taking it one day at a time and enjoying each other.”
