Lori Ann Slesinski, a 24-year-old woman from Auburn, Alabama, disappeared in 2006. Slesinski’s horrifying case will be revisited and examined on the upcoming episode of CBS ’48 Hours, which will air next week. Saturday, September 24, 2022, 10:00pm/9:00pm EST, exclusively on CBS. Lori Ann Slesinski is a woman born in Auburn, Alabama. She was born to Arlene and Casey Slesinski. She has an older brother, Paul, and a puppy Peanut that she loves very much. She graduated from Auburn University in 2004. She wants to get a master’s degree in psychology. She is said to have worked at a nearby mental health facility with her friend Lindsay Braun, whom she met at Auburn University during her freshman year. Lori Ann, 24 years old in 2006, has a bright future ahead of her. However, her entire existence was turned upside down when she disappeared without a trace on Saturday, June 10, 2006.
Where was Lori Ann last seen?
Lori Ann’s best friend, Lindsay Braun, said she planned to go to Braun’s house for a night out with the girls on June 10, 2006. She was last seen that evening. at a nearby Walmart, picking out items for her Braun house. Within 48 hours, Braun told Van Sant about Lori Ann’s disappearance the night she disappeared:
“We’re going to have cocktails at my place,… We’ll drink Rum Runners, watch a movie and just hang out and enjoy a girl’s time. She called at 6:30 a.m. and said, “I’ll go to the store to buy some concoctions and then come over to my place.” The phone then rang about 30 minutes later. It rang many times. I replied that there was no one.”
Who is Derrill Ennis really?
Derrill Ennis, from Auburn, Alabama, was arrested and convicted in 2018 of the kidnapping and cold-blooded murder of Lori Ann Slesinski. He was 38 years old when he was arrested.
According to sources, he was once acquainted with Lori Ann. According to Braun, Derrill was with Lori the day she went missing because she heard his voice in the background while on the phone with her. But she doesn’t care because Derrill and Lori are friends.
Brown stated:
“I’m not worried because they’re friends.”
What happened after Lori Ann disappeared?
Lori Ann Slesinski’s relatives and friends realized something was wrong when she didn’t answer the phone several times. When one of her co-workers and best friends comes to check on her, they discover her door is open and her beloved dog is alone.
Lori’s relatives reported her missing on June 13, 2006. Lori’s disappearance was first classified by the Alabama State Police as a missing person investigation. However, her car exploded four days later in a dead end in front of a construction site. Lori, on the other hand, is nowhere to be found.
What happened to Derrill Ennis?
For more than a decade, the case remained unsolved. However, the case was revived in 2016 and after 18 months of investigation, investigators found enough evidence that Derrill Ennis was involved in the crime.
Ennis was arrested by officers in rural Virginia in August 2018. They were charged with the brutal murder of Lori Ann Slesinski. He was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail in Virginia without bail. He is expected to appear in court for murder in March 2022.
