Kamala Harris pays tribute to Tina Turner’s life and music: ‘She stood tall and proud’
“From obscurity to stages in the UK and Europe, Tina is responsible for changing the course of my life and I am so grateful to have had some of her precious time,” he writes. “She was a force of nature, nobody had her energy or her voice, I guess it’s fair to say, it’s just love, and that’s all.”
The set begins with her cover of Led Zepplin’s 1975 song “Whole Lotta Love” from her second solo studio album The queen of acid. It also includes duets with artists such as David Bowie, Adams, Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart.
The collection features a new version of “Something Beautiful Remains” retitled simply “Something Beautiful”. The song was covered by Terry Britten, producer and longtime collaborator.
“Dear Tina, the experience of working with you could never be repeated, but something beautiful remains in my heart. With love, Terry,” he said in a press release.
