Tarek El Moussa is now in recovery mode.
The real estate investor and TV personality, 42, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video of him breaking his arm before a trip to NYC with wife Heather El Moussa. The clip begins by showing Tarek lifting weights in the gym before switching to a shot of him walking in an airport with his right arm in a cast.
“I woke up Monday morning feeling VERY motivated and on top of my fitness game… and then 10 hours later life humiliated my bitch real quick. 🤣,” Tarek captioned the post. “But a broken arm can’t stop me! We’re here in New York at #ZetaLive23 and we’re having a blast! We hope you enjoy the incredible lineup of speakers as much as we do, and stay tuned throughout the day for more. 💪🎉”
He shared another video of himself at the airport on his Instagram stories, where Heather, 34, can be heard saying: “Welcome to New York.”
“Somebody’s got a broken arm,” she says as she films her husband, who smiles and waves, before joking: “What are you going to wear tomorrow? You must wear a tracksuit. I’m not kidding. I love you.”
“NY we are here!! 🔥🔥”, wrote Tarek on the video. “Oh yeah, and did I mention I broke my arm this week? Amazing time 🤣🤣”

In a press release, Tarek revealed his struggle with steroids after being diagnosed with testicular and thyroid cancer. He also opened up about his drinking problems and his “very public” divorce from HGTV co-star Christine Hall, following their 2016 split.
“I’ve been working on this book for 7 years now and I can’t wait for you to read my personal journey of how I achieved success and how I got to where I am today,” he wrote on Instagram with a video preview from TURN YOUR LIFE AROUND. “This book has been a long time coming and I am so proud to share my personal story with you!”
