A heartwarming moment captured on TikTok shows 6-year-old Waylen over-excited after getting Uncle Jesse from Full house a blanket for Christmas. The moment quickly went viral, with John Stamos himself sharing the video on his Instagram story.
Waylen’s obsession came after she watched Full house with his mother. “During the first episode Full houseWaylen, who was just 5 at the time, turned to me and said, ‘Mom, every time Uncle Jesse comes on TV, I feel like my eyes just turn into hearts,'” her mother, Hannah Trosper, tells PEOPLE exclusively .

As Waylen’s love for the fictional character grew, her family wanted to make Christmas special for her by incorporating her interests into their gifts — so they gave her a blanket featuring Uncle Jesse.
The blanket was carefully chosen by Waylen’s grandmother, whom she calls Mimi. “My mom is very intentional about giving,” Hannah explains. “While my 3-year-old son got a Spider-Man blanket and my 4-year-old daughter got a unicorn blanket, she knew there was nothing my 6-year-old would love more than Uncle Jesse on hers—and she was right!”

After Stamos reposted the video, Hannah shared the news with Waylen, however, her mom notes that she may be too young to understand the iconic gesture.
“We told her that John Stamos shared her video,” Hannah says with a laugh, “but because of her age, she doesn’t really understand social media. All she keeps wondering is if this means she can finally get on a plane to San Francisco to meet Uncle Jesse.
Reflecting on the positive feedback received from TikTok users and Stamos, Hannah is happy to see that Full house it is still relevant today. “It’s pretty great to know that after 37 years, the show is still a staple in households across America.”
