90 Day: Angela Slams 'Idiot' Michael for Including Screenshots of Texts About Infidelity in Visa Application

After seven years of waiting, Michael Ilesanmi finally has the chance to secure a spousal visa to move to the US, but with only a few hours left, Angela Deem turns on him.

The couple excitedly called Angela’s family back home in Georgia the night before Michael’s interview on the May 19 episode 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever Afterbut the next day things changed for the worse.

“You’re fucking breaking me,” Angela told her husband after she discovered some of the files he planned to bring with him to his visa interview included screenshots of text conversations about his past infidelity.

“You did something stupid. You’re mad at yourself for making a mistake. That’s going to get us into trouble. You can’t see that [that] we agree,” she said, calling the screenshot “incriminating” and yelling at Michael, “You’re an idiot.”

In the confessional, Angela said she was “just checking Michael’s interview paperwork” when she found the printed screenshots.

“So when I opened the portfolio, I saw a text where me and Michael [are] fight and I’m talking about cheating and I’m looking at this — Who would put that in there? I can’t understand – why would you put those texts inside? They don’t want to see us fight.”

Meanwhile, Michael told the producer: “We have to document our communication to prove that we are husband and wife. And that’s why it was included. Because a real couple would probably argue about cheating, and the embassy doesn’t care about that. They just want to see that we are real [a] married couple.”

Angela decided not to go to the interview with Michael, despite him asking her to, but later regretted her emotional reaction.

“As mean as I can be, I have a big heart and I feel bad that I didn’t go with him. I should have just gone. I should have cooled down, but he didn’t have time. 10 minutes, I would have left even if I was angry – I would have left, but now I will forever think it’s my fault.

After calling Michael an “idiot”, Angela admitted that she was an “idiot”, before becoming too emotional to continue. “I know he’s nervous. I know. I get it. I’m just as nervous—because he’s not—Michael keeps thinking this is just his visa. No, it’s our visa. I can’t do this… to myself.”
