Sheekilah Jones was waiting for the bus to work last week when a strange noise began to reverberate through the quiet streets early in the morning. His origins are not immediately clear.
Jones reported to Dodo that he heard a knock on the door. However, no one was there.
Jones’ eyes scanned the area and realized the following: There, on a pass not far away, Jones spotted a black cat sitting on the handrail near the door. And it quickly became clear why.
As Jones watched, the cat approached and grabbed the doorknob – signifying, exactly like a human, that it was pleased to want to be let in.
“Honestly, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Jones said.
She captured the unusual scene on video so no one else would believe it:
The cat seems to have discovered a more effective way of calling its owner, such as tapping its paw on the door. However, Jones had to die before the cat’s request could be fulfilled.
She admits: “I was going to knock a little harder for him, but then my bus came. I then got on the bus while still in shock.
