Rae is a graduate of the Institute of Design and Design Trade who previously spoke about her design experience on the Love, Kinsey podcast in 2022. Josie earned a business degree from FIDM. Josie knew she wanted to be a stylist before she started college. She had previously attended FIT in New York, but believed she was more suited to the LA lifestyle. Halfway through her associate’s degree, Josie decided she didn’t want to be a stylist and started focusing on building a business.
She started by selling her antique clothes, and after graduating, Josie persuaded her parents to give her permission to start her own business. Josie’s company grew during the epidemic, and when things started to open, she started organizing pop-up events. Josie first called her company Ray Collectives, but then changed it to Amorae. Josie has 4.5 thousand followers on Instagram, and her company Amorae has 4.2 thousand.
Josie noted on the show that the secret to being a successful entrepreneur is not being afraid to turn around and trust your instincts. One of the earliest pictures of Pete and Josie dates back to 2021. She posted a snap of herself with the basketball player among many other photos, with the caption: “Life [white heart emoji].” The two did not share much on each other’s social networks. The Cavaliers star originally posted the snap of his girlfriend last October.
Pete Nance comes from a family of basketball players
Former Wildcats player Pete Nance comes from a prominent basketball family. Larry Nance, his father, spent 13 seasons in the NFL, six with the Phoenix Suns and the rest with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Larry Nance Jr., Pete’s older brother, began his NFL career with the Lakers and eventually joined the Cavaliers. He played one season with the Portland Trail Blazers and is now in his second season with the Pelicans.
Pete said in an interview that at the beginning of his basketball career, he felt pressure to live up to his last name. He used to worry about not having as long a career as others before him. However, he said he has gained control over his emotions in recent years. He admitted that his route is already different from theirs and that he is running his own race. Casey Nance, Pete’s older sister, attended the University of Dayton and played NCAA basketball. She graduated from Dayton in 2011 and was a co-captain during her senior year, averaging a 5.2 grade point average. She is tenth on UD’s all-time rebounding list with 712 and second on the all-time blocks list with 214.
Casey previously worked as an event and experience planner for the Cleveland Indians before joining thunder::tech as an account manager last year. Pete’s mother, Jaynee Nance, is the only member of the family who had no basketball experience before marrying the NBA star. Jaynee may not have been a basketball player, but she stood 6’2. Jaynee had already started her houseplant company before she agreed to marry Larry. Jaynee is on Instagram and has posted various family photos as well as pictures of her plants.
