A Major West Wing Reunion Is Coming to The Diplomat — See First Look Photos!

The worlds collide in two fans on the political drama screen!

January 30 Netflix announced Bradley Whitford – the most famous West wing Fans as Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman – will join acting Diplomat Season 3 .. The role reunits it with his ex West wing Costar, Allison Janney, who played the print secretary of CJ Cregg.

Whitford, 65 is scheduled to play a character named Todd Penn in the coming season. Todd is the husband of Grace Penn (Janney, 65), a woman set up to become the president of the United States on the basis of shocking events in the final of the season 2.

“Brad was a fantastic version of Todd – for all of us. We still can’t believe that happened,” said Deborah Cahn series creator as she talked to Tudum about Casting Whitford. Executive producer Janice Williams, “Bradley was the perfect addition to what is already an acting amount.”

Netflix also posted three photos from the first sight, one of which shows Janney and Whitford who look worried on the couch while holding a drink.

West wing Cast: Where are they now?

Another photo shows a couple with Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) and wife Hal (Rufus Sewell) as they seem less than a comfortable happy hour.

Grace and Kate finished season 2 at a trembling ground, and Kate revealed that grace was behind a huge illegal conspiracy for the design of international politics. Where the two are standing for season 3 – and what potential Penn Presidency means about Kate and Hal – it remains unclear.

It is also unclear how big the role of Grace’s husband will play in a new presidential administration – although viewers know that his character was embedded in some past financial scandal that had the consequences on Grace’s career.

Diplomat Premiered in 2023, followed by a political trajectory of a woman (Russell) as he moves with his new role as an ambassador to the UK, along with his “tumultuous marriage to the political star”, the official synopsy of the show.

There is no official premiere date for Season 3, although the recording would be shown to be wrapped up on March 20, and the season will be published later in the year, according to Netflix.
