The arctic fox population is stable, there are several hundred thousand in the wild and it is considered the least concern species.
Despite the fact that all foxes are considered wild creatures, many people still want one as a pet.
However, only 15 states allow fox possession. Not all types of fish are allowed in these 15 states.
Foxes are considered “inherently dangerous” untamed predators. Their high energy levels, noise and instinct to mark their territory make them difficult to contain.
Archie, an old blind arctic fox, was abandoned at a dog shelter in Colorado at the age of eight.
His owners are either unable to adequately care for him or they no longer envision him.
He’s from Cօlօgad and ends up joining a fox rescue in Minnesota, which he doesn’t like. He didn’t want to leave or see other foxes while he was there.
He ended up going to Arctic Fox Daily Wildlife Rescue, an animal sanctuary that doubles as a rescue.
The first step is to exclude foxes that are born in captivity and cannot be released into the sanctuary permanently. The second phase involves the restoration of native New York species with the aim of returning these creatures to the wild.
According to Kimbegly DeFisher, founder of Arctic Fox Daily Wildlife Rescue, “When Archie first got here, he was definitely extremely timid, but what’s really amazing is that Archie, being a bit nimble, was completely out of the way. out of his shell.”

Archie is completely blind, but Kimberly explains to GeoBeats Animals that he occasionally bumps into things and remembers his boundaries. Lulu, another girlfriend of Archie, always keeps him company.
Archie and Lulu occasionally play with Tundra and Cleo, another pair of foxes from the shelter.
“Many people wonder why I spend so much time and effort on these animals, which some consider unworthy. I see the benefits of leading a happy life and that. pushed me to work even harder to give Archie the happiest life possible,” Kimbegly added. .
She said Archie is living her best life and the experience has made her more satisfied than she expected.
She notes that many of the animals in Kimberly’s care lack the instincts of their wild counterparts. They won’t be able to survive the weather, hunt, or gather enough food on their own.
She added that Archie is approaching the typical age of an arctic fox, around 10 years old. Kimberly guarantees that he will have a happy and fulfilling last few years of his life.
“I feel grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to develop this relationship with him,” she said.
