Aarathy Kasturi Raj started skating in 2001 at the age of seven and trained at the Satya Speed Skating Academy in Tamil Nadu under her coach Satya Moore Trained under the tutelage of Satya Moorthy.

She participated in many national and international championships and won more than 100 medals. Arathi Kasturi represented India for the first time at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, where she participated in the 20km elimination race and finished seventh. In 2023, Aarathy Kasturi Raj will represent India in the 19th Asian Games (2022) to be held in Hangzhou, China in October 2023. She won a bronze medal in roller skating along with teammate Karthika Jagadeeswaran and Heeral Sadhu in the women’s speed skating 3000m relay.
