Abby Elliott Was 'Quietly Surprised' When She Saw Her Costar Jeremy Allen White's Calvin Klein Ads

Abby Elliott has some thoughts on Jeremy Allen White’s Calvin Klein appearance.

Speaking to PEOPLE on the 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet, the 37-year-old actress and comedian revealed her reaction when she first saw her Bear Costar modeling in panties and with his abs on full display for the iconic brand.

“We’re all as pleasantly quietly surprised as anyone,” she said. “At the time, I didn’t know there was another one coming out. I opened up Instagram and it was there and I was like, ‘Oh, wow, another one,'” she said of the actor, who she also referred to as her “brother.”

Former Shameless star, 33, made his Calvin Klein debut in January with PEOPLE releasing a sexy exclusive. He continued to cement his status as the Internet’s boyfriend when he returned for the Fall 2024 campaign, which had us all saying, “Yes, Chef!”

White clearly looked like a born heartthrob in his photos, but speaking GQ ahead of the second drop in the campaign, he recalled that he was “so insecure” about filming in his boxers, but is grateful that the video was so well received.

“When they put up the billboard in Houston, I woke up early that morning and went with my friend who brought his camera and filmed it before the public saw it. And it was really wonderful and intimate, and it still is like it was just mine in a really nice way, and then everyone else saw it in the following weeks, and it was great and surprising.”

Elliott and White were both at the 2024 Emmys, but walked the red carpet separately.

Elliott, who posed on the carpet alongside her husband Bill Kennedy, wore a baby blue pleated dress with a floor-length sheer cape draped over one shoulder. White, who took home the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series early in the evening, wore a suit and bow tie.
