Olivia Rodrigo World Tour for INTESTINES is the second of her career, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t “terrified” before taking the stage at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, Calif., in February 2024.
When PEOPLE caught “Bring it back!” singer, 21, at the nya EAST red carpet premiere of Netflix Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour on Friday, Oct. 25, she recalled being “terrified” and thinking she should have exercised more that night.
“I was like, ‘I should have practiced more… like I needed three more weeks to practice this thing,’” she tells PEOPLE exclusively. “But I said, ‘Oh well, I’ll keep going.’ ”

After the show, Rodrigo had “such a beautiful moment” with his parents and friends offstage.
“I remember coming off the stage and my mom, dad and all my friends were there to support me and cheer me on,” says Rodrigo. “We drank champagne. And it was such a beautiful moment. I will remember that forever.”
Rodrigo adds that her hands were shaking from nerves while playing the piano during the early shows of the tour. “I was so scared I was going to mess up,” she tells PEOPLE. “And the last one, I feel like I could really, like, sit in it and just enjoy it.”
