Robyn Lively Reunites with Teen Witch Cast 35 Years Later: 'Unsuspecting Treasure'

There are many pop culture witches who have left their mark, but one that holds a special place in the hearts of ’80s kids is Louise Miller of A young witch.

Despite not being a huge box office hit when it was released in 1989, it lives on as one of the most memorable depictions of teenage witches – and to celebrate the film’s anniversary, the cast has reunited.

On Oct. 24, Robyn Lively posted photos of herself with her former co-stars, adding side-by-side shots of the cast in the late ’80s and now.

“I can hardly believe it’s been so many years since we made this unsuspected treasure,” Lively captioned the post, which opened with a shot of her and on-screen beau Dan Gauthier.

“Having the opportunity to meet so many of you who love this movie, to read your wonderful and sometimes heartbreaking comments here… you’ll never know how much it means to me,” Lively continued. “Thank you for sharing a part of your heart and experience with me! A young witch the fans are the absolute BEST! You have my heart!”

A young witch followed 15-year-old Louise Miller (played by Lively) who discovered she was the reincarnation of a 17th-century witch after developing powers on her 16th birthday. She used these newfound powers to gain the popularity and love she desired from her peers, thanks to a little help from seer Madame Serena.

Lively has previously admitted that it remains one of her most recognized roles, despite not becoming a household name at the time it was announced.

A young witch it’s held the top spot for decades,” she shared with PEOPLE. “Nothing compares. People absolutely love that movie and it resonates with many generations. I had no idea when we were shooting it that it would end up being… I just had no idea. That’s why I love him so much.”
