Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala is a famous Indian film producer in Bollywood. In his fifty-year film career, he made more than fifty Hindi films. Some of his hit films include 1965’s Mahabharata starring Pradeep Kumar and Dara Singh, 2000’s Kheraphili and 2007’s Welcome. He suffered a heart attack on August 22, 2022 and passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. His death was announced by his son, Indian producer Firoz Nadiadwala, during a media interaction.

In 1953, Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala started his own film production and media entertainment company. As its founding member, he is associated with major Nadiadwala film banners and studios in Mumbai and Gujarat. He dedicated his life to the Bollywood industry for over fifty years and produced over fifty golden era films. He made his debut as a producer in the Hindi film industry with the film Jhutha Sach. Some of his popular works include “Aa Gale Lag Ja” in 1973, “Lahu Ke Do Rang” in 1997, “Shankar Shambhu” in 1976, “Sone Pe Suhaga” in 1988 and “Watan” in 1987 Ke Rakhwale”.
Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala and Yusuf Lakdawala have partnered with Empire Audio Centre. Later, he founded several Hindi film banners such as AG Films and Pushpa Pictures in his own name. The 91-year-old passed away due to cardiac arrest on August 22, 2022, at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Shortly after his death, veteran Indian actor Ajay Devgn wrote a consoling message on one of his social media accounts, saying Abdul Ghaffar Nadiadwala Gaffar Nadiadwala) was a close associate of his father and they collaborated on many films during the golden age of Indian cinema. Ajay Devgn wrote,

- Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala established an educational institution called Juhu Irla Educational Society (JIES) in his memory in 1995 at Juhu Gali, Andheri (West) Late mother, her vision was to spread the mission of education in India.
