POP downloads all your emails by communicating with your email service and once they are downloaded they are completely removed from the email service; this is how POP works. So, to access the emails after downloading, you can only access them using the same device. You will not be able to access the messages on the other device that was previously downloaded. There are many email services that use POP.

With IMAP, you can access your email from anywhere and also from any device you have. This is the advantage of using IMAP that you don’t have to download or store your emails on your computer because you can read them directly from the email service.
