Actress Barbara Eden, 92, Glows in a Cherry Red Blazer and Wedge Heels on Rare Outing

It’s not a dream!

I dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden (92) was beaming on Thursday, May 23, while leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles. On an afternoon out with friends, Eden stood out in a cherry red blazer, a smart white top, black trousers and black and brown wedge sandals. She carried a large black handbag and upped the glamor with a gold choker necklace with a black pendant and matching earrings.

Known for her flowing blonde locks, she styled her shoulder length hair into a chic half updo.

The actress made it big almost 60 years ago with the beloved NBC fantasy sitcom I dream of Jeannie, in which she played a 2,000-year-old ghost who falls in love with astronaut Major Tony Nelson, played by Larry Hagman. The series ran from 1965 to 1970. Before I dream of JeannieEden was a guest in shows like I love Lucy, Gunsmoke and Perry Mason.

During her career, Eden starred in more than 25 films, 19 TV films and five TV series over a period of almost 70 years.

Celebrating her 92nd birthday in August 2023, Eden told PEOPLE she’s still as passionate about her work as ever.

“I’ve noticed over the years that many people don’t realize what a joy and a gift it is to be able to work in an arena that you really love,” the actress shared. “So many people have to do jobs they hate and have to do it just to survive, but aren’t we lucky when we can study for something, enjoy it, and know that other people enjoy it? I think it is a gift that life gives us, if we are willing to work for it.”

Eden also told PEOPLE that she plans to celebrate turning 92 by having dinner with her husband Jon Eicholtz, whom she married in 1991, and some friends at a Beverly Hills steakhouse. She and Eicholtz, who share a 60-lb. A labradoodle named Bentley also planned to host the family in his home.
