Adam Sandler continues to be an accidental fashion icon.
During a recent interview with social media creator Ajay Porter for the Mystery Fashionist TikTok clip, Sandler, 57, spoke to fans through his outfit after introducing himself as “Adam” from “Brooklyn.”
The Happy Gilmore the star wore a Fila zip-up sweater over a casual T-shirt that day, which he teamed with a pair of blue tie-dye shorts and green and blue mismatched sneakers.
Sandler, who is known for his casual “Sandlercore” style, explained his ensemble of choice, “It just happened, I didn’t really think about it. There’s sneakers, there’s some silly shorts,” joking that he wore his a sweater to cover the belly.

“Whatever’s in the closet, I grab it,” he insisted. “I think I have a bunch of the same socks, the underwear is similar too.”
Sandler continued, “I grab it, I don’t think much of it. Most people make fun of me in my family, but I keep moving.”
When asked what five items of fashion he “can’t live without,” Sandler insisted his list would include some “nice socks” bought for him by his wife, Jackie Sandler, with his “kids on and stuff,” as well as “stupid shirts ” and sneakers.

“Sneakers that fit,” insisted the comedian, whose fashion choices have been talked about for years, adding: “It doesn’t matter if they’re dirty or not, as long as they fit and don’t hurt.”
He also said he wore the jumper because he got it “five years ago” and “forgot about the thing”, after noting his shorts were “shorter than usual” that day.
Sandler then ended the conversation by joking about some common misconceptions about himself. “People don’t understand that I’m 6 years old [foot] 5,” he said.

Sandler’s latest style comments come after he spoke to PEOPLE on Tuesday, August 20 at the premiere of his new standup special in New York City I love you.
While responding to the Gen Z fashion trend inspired by his laid-back look, Sandler said, “You know, this is a random thing… but here I am wearing stupid clothes, and I don’t know. I don’t know think about it.”

The Adults The actor also learned that the trend has been dubbed “Madame Sandler”, with people combining his trademark long, baggy shorts with a crop top.
“The crop top, I wore it when I was young,” he said. “I used to wear a tank top. Now that wouldn’t look great on anyone, but I get it. Comfortable. That sounds like a good outfit.”
