Sharing a photo of Adan Canto with her grandmother, Italia Ricci recalled how the late ‘Designated Survivor’ actor “came all the way out of town where we were filming to support me.”
Italia Ricci remembers her late Designated as a survivor Costar Adan Canto as the “amazing” person he was.
In a touching tribute shared on Instagram on Thursday, Ricci, 37, posted a photo of Canto with his arm around her grandmother — whom she called her “sweet Nanooch” — at a 2016 charity event. Telling the story of that evening, the actress recalled how Canto “came all the way out of town from where we were shooting to support me.”
“[He] “I spent the evening laughing and swooning (almost all because if you knew Adán, you knew his charisma, but mostly) my sweet Nanooch,” Ricci continued.
“Both of these amazing people have lost their lives in the last year to the same disease they helped fight for years before they heard the words themselves,” she added. “Nothing about this makes sense.”
