Profession
Adarsh Singh started shooting at a very young age. He has participated in and won many national and international shooting championships. In 2018, Adarsh made his international debut in the men’s 10m air pistol and 25m rapid fire pistol events at the ISSF Youth World Cup in Sydney, winning bronze and silver medals respectively. He won the gold medal in the men’s 25m pistol rapid fire event at the South Asian Games (2019) in Pokhara, Nepal. In March 2020, he moved to Pune to train under the guidance of Ronak Pandit. In 2023, Adarsh Singh will represent India in the 19th Asian Games (2022) in Hangzhou, China. He won a bronze medal in shooting in the men’s 25m pistol rapid fire team event along with teammates Anish Bhanwala and Vijayveer Sidhu.
The Indian men’s trio finished third with 1718 points, China won the gold medal with 1765 points and South Korea won the silver medal with 1734 points.

Facts/Trivia
- Initially, Adarsh developed a keen interest in cricket and badminton. Due to childhood illness, he was unable to engage in physically demanding sports, so he chose shooting. In an interview, Adarsh discussed his difficult journey and how his sister inspired him to pursue shooting. He said,
It has been a difficult journey for me since I was born. A lower back injury prevented me from pursuing my passion for cricket or badminton. As I got older, I found that I was unable to participate in physically demanding sports. So I chose to shoot. My sister Riya Singh (also a national-level shooter) was pursuing shooting and she introduced me to the sport, which helped a lot. I honed my skills at the Faridabad Model School Shooting Range and soon I developed a keen interest. ”
