Adele Postpones Las Vegas Residency, Will Go on Vocal Rest

Adele pauses her residency in Las Vegas and goes on a vocal vacation.

“Unfortunately, I have to take some time off and end my Vegas residency,” the 35-year-old singer began in a social media post on Tuesday.

“I was sick at the end of the last leg and during the entire break,” she said, adding that she “didn’t really get a chance to fully recover before resuming the show.”

The singer of the song “Easy On Me” said that due to the premature continuation, she was sick again, and unfortunately all this took its toll on my voice.

According to the doctor’s orders, he will rest until he gets a full sleep.

Adele noted that the five remaining weekends were affected. The postponed dates are: March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30. Updates will be sent as they become available.

“I love you, I’ll miss you like crazy and I’m sorry for the inconvenience,” she wrote in the caption.

The Daily mail previously reported that during one of the singer-songwriter’s recent performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, she addressed the crowd and explained her condition.

“In the middle of last night—I’m sure you can hear it in my speaking voice and a little singing—your girlfriend was tired. I didn’t sleep well… and Ursula from the ocean came from my chest tonight. I can’t hit my notes properly. I didn’t slept well and my chest is on fire…” she told the audience, according to the house report.

Despite the pain, Daily mail reported that Adele continued to sing. During the show, she took sips of honey and warm water to soothe her throat. When the show ended, she said: “You were amazing. The show. Thank you, love, magic, magic, I’ve been putting it all together since the moment. I’m so glad you had a good time. I look crazy, I feel crazy… I’m going to voice rest.'”

Adele left “heartbroken” after canceling Wembley Stadium gigs due to damaged vocal cords

This is not the first time that the “Easy on Me” singer has had problems with her voice. Adele underwent vocal cord bleeding surgery in November 2011.

In June 2017, the singer also canceled her concert at Wembley Stadium due to damaged vocal cords. In an emotional letter to fans and concertgoers via social media at the time, the Grammy winner announced that she was unable to make it to her last two London tours.

“The last two nights at Wembley were the biggest and best shows of my life. I was thrilled to come home to such a response after being away for so long doing something I didn’t think I could pull off, but I did. However, I struggled with my voice both nights. I had to push a lot harder than usual. “I felt like I had to clear my throat all the time, especially last night,” Adele wrote in 2017.

“I went to the throat doctor tonight because my voice didn’t open at all today and it turned out that I damaged my vocal cords. And according to the doctor’s advice, I simply cannot perform during the weekend,” she continued. “To say I’m heartbroken would be a complete understatement. I’ve already maxed out on steroids and voice aids.”
