Adele Shows Love During Residency to Madonna as She Kicks Off the Celebration Tour: ‘I’m Very, Very Excited’

Adele wants to celebrate the Queen of Pop.

During her Weekends with Adele residency in Las Vegas on Saturday, the 35-year-old singer-songwriter took a moment to salute Madonna, 65, in honor of the launch of her Celebration Tour. Fans captured the sweet moment.

After walking across the stage at Caesars Palace Colosseum to Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and singing the song, she showed her love for the pop icon. “Do you know that Madonna opened her tour tonight in London? Do we have a Madonna fan here tonight?” she addressed the crowd, which gave them a standing ovation.

“I love Madonna,” enthuses the Grammy winner. “I’m very, very excited.”

The “Hello” singer also said she’s glad the hitmaker is now in good health, after being hospitalized for a bacterial infection in June. “I’m glad she’s feeling better and was able to open up,” Adele continued.

“I’m very jealous I wasn’t at the show in London, but I’ll see her whenever she comes to LA,” Adele said. “Very, very excited.”

On October 14th, Madonna kicked off her long-awaited, career-spanning Celebration Tour in front of an audience of 20,000 at London’s O2 Arena. The Material Girl performed over 40 of her biggest hits such as “Like a Prayer,” “Crazy for You,” “Justify My Love” and “Ray of Light,” among others, and included plenty of choreography and spectacle.

The superstar also reflected on her career during the set and talked about her “crazy year,” which included a health scare. She told the crowd that neither she nor her doctors thought she would “make it,” but she felt like her children — Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23, David, 18, Mercy, 17, and Stella and Estere, 11 — saved her. — and he had to “survive for them”.

The “Like a Virgin” singer originally announced a Celebration Tour in January 2023 before postponing the dates due to illness. In August, she was able to officially share the rescheduled dates for the tour, which includes 78 concerts across Europe and North America, and now runs until April 2024.

Adele, meanwhile, is performing her 68-day Las Vegas residency starting in November 2022. The concert, which was extended earlier this year in March, will end this November.
