Adwoa Aboah has officially become a mom!
The British model (32) and her boyfriend, American figure skater Daniel Wheatley, announced the happy news on Tuesday, August 27.
“Our stunning daughter was born at 11:22pm on August 23rd by emergency c-section,” Aboah wrote in an Instagram post. “Our hearts literally exploded into a million pieces.”
She concluded the post by revealing her daughter’s name: “Shy Trinity Afua Wheatley.”
In her Instagram stories, the Gurls Talk founder elaborated on the meaning of her daughter’s name. She shared a screenshot that says “Afua”, which means “born on Friday”. The screenshot also states that naming your daughter after the day she was born is an Akan tradition. “Associated with fertility with her Efua variant, Afua celebrates the value of life, the gift of birth and existence itself,” the photo reads.
She then posted a clip of Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity from Matrix and the text: “And yes, that Trinity…”

In an Instagram post, Aboah first shared an adorable photo of herself holding her newborn daughter’s foot. The next photo included Aboah smiling on the operating table and flashing the horn sign as her boyfriend looked down at her.

Aboah revealed she was expecting when she appeared at the 2024 Met Gala on May 6.
At a fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she held her bare bump as she made her way to the Met’s iconic steps.

She said Harpers Bazaar that she wanted to “do [her] Rihanna’s reveal moment, whatever that looks like…” Adding, “and then I’ll probably go back into hiding.”
“I mean, I bring life into this world. So I think that in a way I am the subject, just because I am pregnant,” she added. “Going back to the pregnancy, it was like there was uncertainty and I was either just going to have a baby or do something like Met.”
