Queens of Crime Marie Benedict, which should be released in February from the publishing house St. Martin’s Publishing Group, brings together five of the greatest crime writers: Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Margery Allingham and Baroness Emma Orczy, all in one novel. The group must attempt to solve a real-life murder in order to prove their worth to the legendary, naturally male-dominated Detection Club.

Imagine jolly old London in 1930. A group of wordsmiths led by the indomitable Dorothy L. Sayers call themselves the Queens of Crime, and their mission is to solve the real murder of a young woman found strangled in a park. Her death can be linked to the highest levels of the British establishment, and many of the details are as juicy and confusing as one of the writer’s twists and turns.
