Ajay Pal Sharma was born on Saturday, October 26, 1985, in Ludhiana, Punjab (age 35; as of 2020). His zodiac sign is Scorpio. He went to school in Ludhiana, Punjab. Ajay then pursued Bachelor of Dental Science from Government Medical College, Patiala, Punjab. He worked as a dentist for several years. In November 2008, he decided to quit his job as a dentist and try his hand at civil service. He hopes to serve the country in a way that benefits more people.

There he studied on his own to pass his exams. In 2009, he attempted the UPSC exam for the first time. Ajay passed the main exam but failed in the final round i.e. interview/personality test round. In the same year, he appeared for the exam again and secured AIR (All India Rank) 160 marks. In 2011, after completing his training, he became an IPS officer.

According to reports, he used to meet with more than 200 people every day. Sharma often disguised himself and traveled around the city and suburbs to see if the police were doing their jobs. He usually called the work group in the middle of the night to issue instructions. He reportedly doesn’t hold meetings during the day because he doesn’t want to disrupt his daily routine.

Ajay also introduced a tiered system for police. He has issued directives to suspend officials if they perform poorly. He is running it as a pilot project, which he hopes to implement across India. In 2018, he was awarded by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his exemplary work in reducing the number of criminal gangs in Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Department has discovered phone recordings showing Ajay discussing his posting and transfer in September 2020. He also mentioned Deepti Sharma in one of the calls. Later, Deepti claimed to have married Ajay in Ghaziabad in 2016 and claimed to be his wife. Furthermore, Deepti claimed that Ajay physically and sexually abused her and tried to erase evidence of their marriage, but all these accusations were refuted by Ajay Pal.
