Florence Pugh looked a little different at the London premiere of her new film We live in time.
Okay, okay, the actress, 28, wasn’t actually at the BFI London Film Festival on Thursday, October 17, as she couldn’t attend – but her co-star Andrew Garfield made sure her presence was felt by bringing a life-size film cutout of the actress as his red carpet date.
That’s right, the Golden Globe winner, 41, carried — and even posed with — a cardboard pedestal of his co-star dressed in a sheer black polka dot dress and high-waisted panties, much to the delight of Pugh, who took to her Instagram Stories to apologize for not being able to attend.
“It really hurts that I’m not there to celebrate the release, but I raise my glass from afar. I love you all,” she wrote.

After the moment happened, Midsommar star reacted on Instagram saying the joke was “genius” and praised Garfield with “well done Andrew”.
As for Garfield, the actor looked dapper in a teal suit, yellow scarf and colorful collared shirt as he walked the red carpet at the film’s premiere.

Chemistry is one thing the two stars clearly have, but Spider-Man superhero recently revealed to PEOPLE that he was “shy” ahead of meeting with Pugh for the project.
“I was really scared. I think we were both very scared and nervous because it takes a while to get to know someone,” he said. “There are layers there. That’s where the defense is. I am someone who can be quite shy and quite protective when meeting someone for the first time and it takes time for someone to really get to know me. But then, once they’re in, there’s no way out.”

But once he felt a “trust” with Pugh — and discovered her fun, playful nature — he knew a connection would be made. “And that’s like catnip to me. Someone who just wants to piss around and she started pissing on me. I really enjoyed it. I made her mad at her and she really enjoyed it,” he said.
