Jackie Chan celebrates the start of the Paralympic Games!
The 70-year-old legendary actor took to the streets of Paris on Wednesday, August 28, carrying the event’s iconic flame in his inimitable style ahead of the event’s opening ceremony.
Wearing a white tracksuit and his signature black glasses, the stuntman and martial artist enthusiastically waved to crowds on both sides of the street as he strolled through the historic city.
In addition to Chan, dancer/choreographer Benjamin Millepied and French actress Elsa Zylberstein also participated in the torch relay, according to France 24.

Wednesday night’s Paralympic opening ceremony echoes the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, bypassing the traditional stadiums.
More than 4,000 athletes with physical, visual and intellectual disabilities are participating in the parade down the Champs-Elysees to the Place de la Concorde in central Paris, the Associated Press reported.

Among them will be Nicky Nieves and Steve Serio, who should lead the way as flag bearers for Team USA.
In a video shared by Team USA on Instagram last week, cameras captured the moment Nieves, 34, and her volleyball teammates learned she had been selected as the flag bearer. The group quickly broke into “Nicky!” songs for the celebration of honor.
When Serio, 36, learned he had been selected, he summed up his feelings in an Instagram Story: “United and honored.”
Over the next 11 days, athletes will compete in 22 sports. The competition begins on Thursday with the first distribution of medals for table tennis, taekwondo and track cycling.

The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games begin with the opening ceremony on August 28 and run until the closing ceremony on September 8.
