Ajinkya Firodia started his career as a financial analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. on Wall Street in New York, USA on September 11, 2001, where he worked for two years. In 2003, he joined his family business, Kinetic Group, as General Marketing Manager of Kinetic Engineering. He was an integral part of the 2004 Kinetic Zing 80 promotion and marketing.

Since 2009, he has served as Managing Director of Momentum Group. He contributed to the shift in focus to new business models for automotive components. This decision increased the export of auto parts to different parts of the world. He has been instrumental in expanding the Kinetic Group’s existing dealer base as well as multiple tie-ups such as the Norton Motorcycles joint venture to assemble and distribute various brands of superbikes in India and other Asian countries.

When a boss takes up the responsibilities given to him, he automatically becomes free. We all answer to someone—to the department head, the board of directors, or even to yourself. Once you take responsibility, people are happy to let you make decisions, strategize, and basically execute in a way that you think is right. When given freedom, people can guide the entire organization toward realizing the vision. Since this is his vision, the boss will seek out the required resources, opportunities and manage the risks associated with them. “

Under his leadership, Kinetic Engineering Ltd announced revenue of Rs 3,522 crore for the second quarter of 2022, a growth of 125% quarter-on-quarter due to strategic decisions such as focus on exports and rationalization of labor costs. In the 2022-23 fiscal year annual report released by Kinetic Engineering Limited, net profit increased by 130% and revenue increased by 10.58%.

The financial report for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2023-24 released by Kinetic Engineering Limited shows that compared with the second quarter of the previous fiscal year, revenue increased by 6% and net profit increased by 7%. In February 2024, Kinetic Green launched an electric version of Luna, one of the Kinetic Group’s most popular two-wheelers, called E-Luna.
