Akanksha Sharma is a famous Indian voice actor, host, comedian and YouTuber. She rose to fame in 2015 when she was chosen as the official Hindi voice actor for the popular Japanese anime Shin-chan.

In 2013, Radio Mirchi was looking for a new radio host for its Sunday morning show; hence, they organized a competition called “Delhi’s Hottest RJ.” Akanksha, who was pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the time, learned about the competition from a senior who was also participating in the competition. Akanksha participated in the competition along with 20,000 other contestants and eventually won.
Akanksha worked at Radio Mirchi for a year before quitting her job to complete her studies. While working at Radio Mirchi, she was mentored by famous radio presenter RJ Naved.

In an interview, she talked about her journey to becoming a voice actor,
So, during college, I did some radio commercials, which also helped me train to be a voice actor – imitating the voices of the children in the Horlicks commercials, and other different voices in various other shows on the radio. From that point on, I had the idea of becoming a voice actor in mind.”
After graduation, Akanksha started working as a freelance voiceover artist. In 2015, she was invited to voice the fictional character Nohara Shin-chan from the super hit Japanese anime series Crayon Shin-chan. According to her, she had no idea about the anime until she started dubbing for it. Akanksha is the fourth artist to voice Crayon Shin-chan since the show first aired in India in 2006.
Other voice acting
In addition to Shin-chan, she also voiced other well-known animated characters such as Po (Shin-chan’s friend), Nobita (a character in the cartoon “Doraemon”), and Doraemon’s sister Dorami.
It is reported that Akanksha used to work for the professional wrestling show WWE and was responsible for dubbing for female wrestlers.
Akanksha can perform over 120 different cartoon voices.
As a YouTuber
Akanksha created her YouTube channel in 2016 and soon became a popular figure in the Indian YouTube community. As of 2020, she has close to 550,000 subscribers on YouTube. She has uploaded several videos on her YouTube channel that have garnered millions of views. Her most viewed video is titled “Akanksha Sharma’s Cartoon Voice Imitation Challenge” which has been viewed over 15 million times.
