On Wednesday, Today weatherman, 69, shared a sweet tribute to his wife in honor of her 63rd birthday.

“Happy birthday to the lady who has given me so much, including the gift of a family to call my own, @debrobertsabc You just warmed up,” he wrote.

The Instagram post included several photos of the couple including one with their two children, Leila and Nicholas, as well as Roker’s daughter Courtney from a previous marriage.

Roberts responded in the comments section, writing: “I love you! 💜💜🎁🎁”

The tribute comes three days after the couple marked 28 years of marriage and documented the occasion by sharing sweet photos from throughout the years on their social media.

The rocker posted a carousel of pictures of him and the ABC News correspondent on his Instagram, starting with shots from the couple’s wedding day. One showed Roker in a tuxedo and his wife in a white dress, veil and long white gloves. In another, Roberts was feeding Roker a piece of wedding cake, and in a third photo, the two are holding hands and smiling directly into the camera.

Roberts, meanwhile, shared her own message on Instagram alongside a collection of photos of the couple during their relationship, including a fun shot of them posing next to a cake made to look like the cover The New York Times.

Sweet titles are written in the glaze about the couple. One read: “NBC STARS TO COMBINE DATE EXPLORATION.” The couple met at NBC before Roberts later moved to ABC.

“Woof! It’s been 28 years,” she wrote in the title of the celebratory post.

“Beginning with some trepidation, great excitement and hearts full of hope, we embarked on this journey. And it was one big adventure. This past year has taught us to appreciate every moment. You are mine…I am yours. And where you are, there I am. Happy anniversary my love. Let’s keep making memories @alroker.”

Roker told PEOPLE earlier this year that Roberts was his main support during his health scare last fall.

“Without her, I wouldn’t be here,” he said in January, referring to the time last fall when he was initially diagnosed with blood clots that traveled from his leg to his lungs. Roker was hospitalized twice at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center for nearly two weeks.

In PEOPLE’s first love issue of 2021, Roberts shared that her husband is a master of romantic gestures. “He does things like sprinkle little love messages, little congratulations throughout my life,” she said then in an interview with Zoom.

In the morning, “sometimes there’s a little card next to the coffee machine that might say something encouraging or sweet or mischievous or fun,” she said. “When I travel, I open my suitcase and there I find one or two notes that he slipped in or in my purse. ‘Have a nice day. I’m thinking of you.’ Or an Emily Dickinson sonnet or something,” Roberts said.

“And I’m just like, ‘Oh my God.’ It just touches me. And he thinks like that all the time. He’s a real romantic,” she added.
