Pakistani businessman Alamgir Tareen was found dead at his residence in Lahore. He died by suicide at the age of 63 on July 6, 2023. A handwritten message was found at the scene of the suicide. Franchise Multan wrote,
“It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the death of our beloved team owner, Alamgir Khan Tareen. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Tareen’s family. We ask everyone to respect his family’s privacy. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
The Multan Sultans website described Tareen,

Lahore Qalanders expressed their condolences,
“The management of Lahore Qalandars is shocked and saddened by the news of the death of Mr. Alamgir Tareen. This loss leaves a significant void within the cricketing community. According to Pakistani media, he shot himself to death at his residence in Gulberg, Lahore.
